is anyone out there a melbourne drummer interested in playing in sick bands? drummer is needed for either an emo post rock band, and a crusty hardcore/skramz band. let me know if you know anyone, i know minimal drummers.
If you supply the drums I will supply the beats.
JAMIE HAY
Oh this is mine. Best musician in the country, so excited to see Fear Like Us tomorrow.
Really want that shirt.
The Hives’ setlist at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, and my full collection of their instrumental tools. Dr. Matt handed his pick over and called me “winner!” - Also got Dr. Matt’s wink at the end when they bowed! :)
1000 Answers was a fan request made (and granted!) when Chris and Matt walked through to the Café. It was also played in soundcheck. Nick joined them later and I got a Nicholaus Arson high 5 before the show so I was overly ready to be at the stage. There was no barrier at the Belly Up so we were covered in both Almqvists’ sweat. Best show ever. Favourite band forever.
I recorded this show :) Sometime soon I’ll get the recording online…
It was a pretty fantastic evening. The Bronx killed it and the Belly Up is an amazing venue. I kind of wish I got to see You Got It All… Wrong instead of 1000 answers as it’s one of my favourites by them but whatever.
Can’t sleep, listening to this on repeat until I can. A+ album.
Should I go on Saturday? Convince me it’s worth it.
Jamie Hay (who is pretty much the best musician in the country because ADITF and Conation are amazing) in a folk punk band, me and Mark are going to be ridiculously drunk AND it’s my birthday. Sounds like a pretty A+ night to me.
Upstairs or downstairs at the Gaso?

So this album is pretty awesome. Every time I listen to it I want to be an angsty teenager again. I also want to see these guys again and again every time I listen to it. Get your ass back here already.
