Photo 5 Jan Raein, Loma Prieta, Old Skin & Edison @ The Gasometer (2011-12-29) recordings.$10 for this lineup. Can’t beat that. Managed to get soundboard recordings of Old Skin, Loma Prieta and Raein. However, Raein’s is pretty horrible so I couldn’t use it. Loma Prieta’s is great so I use it for the whole time it recorded (18 of 28 minutes) and Old Skin I used the whole set for. It was a weird and small venue to record in and I’m pretty happy with the results considering. I wish I’d been able to go on the balcony though…EdisonHaving come from work (and leaving 30 minutes early mind you) I only got there in time to catch the last little bit of Edison. I really enjoyed them… in fact, they ruled. Absolutely ruled. I was pretty stoked to see they’d been added to the lineup less than 24 hours before the event. Thought they were only doing the later 2 shows.It’s a massive shame that the vocals were nonexistant for almost all of the set. This recording does it huge justice though because I was plugged into the soundboard and there was a still a feed coming through there (for the first 18 minutes at least) so there’s some good sounding vocals for the majority.  It’s just a bummer they came out of their way for this, their first show in Australia only to play it without vocals. Edison

Loma Prieta
These guys ruled. Absolutely ruled. I was pretty stoked to see they’d been added to the lineup less than 24 hours before the event. Thought they were only doing the later 2 shows.
